The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - European and Scandinavian Perspectives
Keväällä 2009 julkaistu teos käsittelee uutta YK:n vammaisten oikeuksia
koskevaa yleissopimusta erityisesti Euroopan ja pohjoismaiden
näkökulmasta.
Kansainvälinen vammaisten oikeuksia koskeva yleissopimus on
2000-luvun ensimmäinen YK:n ihmisoikeussopimus. Sopimuksen tavoitteena
on taata yhdenvertaiset oikeudet maailman 650 miljoonalle vammaiselle
ihmiselle. Teos tarkastelee eri tasoilla sitä, miten sopimuksen
artiklat saadaan sisällytettyä eri maiden kansalliseen lainsäädäntöön.
Teoksen ovat kirjoittaneet Reykjavikin yliopiston oikeustieteen
professori Oddny Mjöll Arnardottir ja National University of Irelandin
oikeustieteen professori Gerard Quinn.

Human Rights, YES! is a new human rights education tool, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The tool was developed to equip persons with disabilities and their representative organizations to integrate a comprehensive human rights approach in their advocacy work. The training in Human Rights, YES! is designed to enhance organizations’ advocacy at the national and community levels as well as to promote individual empowerment and self-advocacy initiatives. Human Rights. YES is also an essential resource for other human rights groups, such as women’s rights and children’s rights organizations, that want to understand disability rights and integrate a disability perspective into their human rights efforts.
Handbook boosts prospects for new Convention on Disabilities (8.10.2007)
The IPU, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), and the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) jointly launched a handbook on the newly adopted Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol. International Disability Rights Monitor 2007
The following excerpt is the individual IDRM country report for Finland (Researcher Pirkko Mahlamäki) .This is the forth publication and the third regional report of the International Disability Rights Monitor (IDRM) project. The project represents and ongoing collaboration between the Center for International Rehabilitation (CIR), European Disability Forum(EDF), and many other international and national disability groups. The goals of the IDRM project are to promote the full inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities in society and to advance the use of international humanitarian law to ensure that the rights of persons with disabilities are respected and enforced.

Vammaisaktivistin käsikirja - vammaisuuden perusteella tapahtuvan syrjinnän torjuminen (syyskuu 2005, Finnish Disability Forum, Member of the European Disability Forum)
Tätä käsikirjaa on tuettu Euroopan Yhteisön syrjinnän vastaisen toimintaohjelman (2001-2006) varoista. Toimintaohjelma syntyi tukemaan uuden EU:n syrjinnänvastaisen lainsäädännön tehokasta toimeenpanoa. Kuusivuotinen ohjelma kohdistuu kaikkiin toimijoihin, jotka voivat edistää tarkoituksenmukaista ja tehokasta syrjinnänvastaista lainsäädäntöä ja politiikan kehitystä kaikissa kaikissa EU -jäsenmaissa, Efta- ja EU-ehdokasmaissa.
