Suwi (Zambia/Finland, 100 min.)

Suwi, directed and written by Zambian Musole Catherine Kaseketi, is premiering in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, in April – and right afterwards in KynnysKINO. The film was born as a co-production between Kaseketi’s Vilole Images Productions and the Finnish director-composer Päivi Takala’s Soundsgood Productions.

Suwi is a fictive story, which is strongly influenced by the current situation in Zambia. Suwi is a story about two young women struggling for happiness and self-respect.
